A Love Story...
When we met it was like a dream:
A beautiful young lady walking up to me.
With a smile we made a connection
That would send us into a life long direction.
It was funny, the time we shared,
Never really thought, never really cared.
We were too busy being kids at heart
Too busy to think wed ever be apart.
I never understood what I really had
And that day came, oh was I sad.
I shed many tears as I walked away
Then she moved on towards her wedding day.
Week after week, month after month, year after year
I wondered why it was, why was I so scared.
Maybe I was too young or maybe I didn't care.
What ever it was, it still haunts me after all these years.
We moved on with our lives and never really talked again
But I always wondered where she had been.
It's choices we make in life to do what seems right
But I often wondered, should I have put up a bigger fight?
I thought I lost what I never really had
Then a letter arrived from her
It was a wish, a hopeless desire,
Then flash -- she was walking up to me, just like a dream.
I was not alone when we finally met
She was missing me just as I was missing her.
A thought never unheard and feeling never missed.
All of a sudden I felt pure bliss.
I never understood what we had
Until that day I held her again.
She's a part of my life, a part of my soul
A void to fill, an answer to all my questions.
She is my everything.
She is the air I breathe, the water I drink
She is the love in my heart and the breath in my words
She is forever a part of me.
She is a part of me because, as she reads my words
She can feel what I feel and see what I see
She is there always in my mind, my heart and my soul
She is the love of my life that I can never let go.
Dedicated to my true love.
May life from this point forward
bring you never ending Love, Courage and Happiness?

.............................
When I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class walking home from school. His name was Kyle. He looked as if he was carrying all his books.
I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must be a nerd."
I had quite a weekend planned ahead (parties and a football game with my friends) so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.
As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running towards him. They ran into him, knocking him down and causing all his books to fly out of his arms. His glasses went flying and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. Hence, I jogged over to him and tried to help him as he crawled around looking for his glasses with a tear in his eye.
I handed him his glasses and said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives."
He looked at me and said, "Hey, thanks!"
There was a big smile on his face.
It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books and asked him where he lived. It turns out that he lived near me so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to a private school previously. That was when I realized I had never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home and I helped carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I invited him to play a little football with my friends and he agreed.
We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him. He was equally popular with my friends. When Monday morning came, I saw Kyle with a huge stack of books again.
I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are really going to build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!"
He simply laughed and handed me half the books. Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown and I was going to Duke.

Every Husband Should Read This
“Love her …when she sips on your coffee or tea. She only wants to make sure it tastes just right for you.
Love her…when she "pushes" you to pray. She wants to be with you in Jannah (Paradise).
Love her…when she asks you to play with the kids. She did not "make" them on her own.
Love her...when she is jealous. Out of all the men she can have, she chose you.
Love her…when she has annoying little habits that drives you nuts. You have them too.
Love her…when her cooking is bad. She tries.
Love her…when she looks dishevelled in the morning. She always grooms herself up again.
Love her…when she asks to help with the kids homework. She only wants you to be part of the home.
Love her...when she asks if she looks fat. Your opinion counts, so tell her she's beautiful.
Love her…when she looks beautiful. She's yours so appreciate her.
Love her...when she spends hours to get ready. She only wants to look her best for you.
Love her…when she buys you gifts you don't like. Smile and tell her it's what you've always wanted.
Love her…when she has developed a bad habit. You have many more and with wisdom and politeness you have all the time to help her change.
Love her…when she cries for absolutely nothing. Don't ask, tell her it’s going to be okay.
Love her…when she suffers from PMS. Buy chocolate, rub her feet and back and just chat to her (this works!).
Love her…when whatever you do is not pleasing. It happens and will pass.
Love her…when she stains your clothes. You needed a new shirt anyway.
Love her…when she tells you how to drive. She only wants you to be safe.
Love her…when she argues. She only wants to make things right for both.
Love her…she is yours. You don't need any other special reason!!!
All this forms part of a Woman's Character. Women are part of your life and should be treated as the Queen.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) advised concerning the woman:
• Treat the women well.
• The best of you are those who are the best in the treatment of their wives.”

There's A Girl
Gregory Espy
The road I travel is working
off railroads and gravel,
Fixing ties and losing some time.
There’s a girl in Tulsa
that’s sweet on this fella,
She says that I am
always on her mind.
I should grab my backpack,
hop in my fastback
It’s only a short drive.
If I could reach her
I know I could teach her,
How sweet it is to be mine.
If only I could make up for lost time.
There’s a girl waiting when I have the time.
The rails have come to own me
and time is never on my side
work seems only to slow me
I'm here only for the lonely ride.
The road I travel is working
off back roads and gravel,
Fixing rails but I just keep
falling behind.
There’s a girl in Chama
that’s sweet on this fella,
She says I could easily
make her mine.
I should grab my backpack
hop in my fastback,
It’s only a short drive.
If I could reach her
I know I could teach her,
How easy it is to be mine.
But I just keep falling further behind.
There’s a girl waiting when I’m not behind.
The rails have come to own me
and time is never on my side
work seems only to slow me
I'm here only for the lonely ride.
The road I travel is working
off dirt roads and gravel,
Driving spikes to the end of this line.
There’s a girl in Mesa
that’s sweet on this fella,
She says I should call
and charge it to her dime.
I should grab my backpack
hop in my fastback,
It’s only a short drive.
If I could reach her
I know I could teach her,
How soon she could be mine.
But I can’t find the end of this line.
There’s a girl waiting at the end of this line.
The rails have come to own me
and time is never on my side
work seems only to slow me
I'm here only for the lonely ride.
God I hope there’s a girl still waiting at the end of this line.
The road I travel is working

A Wedding Verse
Today (dear daughter son),
as you walk down the aisle
You'll see all the face
s wearing a smile.
But as we remember
those young tender years
Our smiles will conceal a few hidden tears.
It isn't through sadness ,
our emotions just whirl
As we're both thinking back
to our dear little girl
They're not tears of sorrow,
but tears full of joy
As we're both thinking back
to our dear little boy
And now you have grown
and made us so proud
As you smile for the camera
and the rest of the crowd
Remember dear (name) as
you become a new wife
Remember dear (name) as
you take your new wife
You're still very much a part of our life!
We're not losing a daughter,
we are gaining a son,
We're gaining a daughter.
not losing a son,
You're new lives as
husband and wife have begun
So be blissfully happy
and enjoy your 'Big Day'
Have a wonderful marriage
with a rose strewn way!
as you walk down the aisle
You'll see all the face
s wearing a smile.
But as we remember
those young tender years
Our smiles will conceal a few hidden tears.
It isn't through sadness ,

My Blind Date
Beneath the clock I’m waiting expectantly
Awaiting my blind date a little nervously
He’s late but I don’t mind, at least not yet
He’ll have a good reason no doubt, I bet
He’s here at last and only an hour late
A good-looking man it was worth the wait
A kiss on the cheek and a smile how terrific
Oh but his breath could stop the traffic
But nobody’s perfect and he has a kind face
And he’s booked a table at an exclusive place
The restaurant looks fine, very expensive
Let’s hope appearances are not deceptive
The food is poor, and the service shambolic
His conversation is dull and monosyllabic
He drinks too excess and slobbers his food
His table manners are nothing short of rude
His drinking is driving me around the bend
I really can’t wait for the evening to end
The bill arrives and I’m asked to pay half
My immediate reply “you’re having a laugh”
He leaps to his feet and explodes with fury
Then falls backwards into the shrubbery
I throw him a look of contempt and disdain
Embarrassed I leave saying “never again”
How could I have known it would go so amiss?
I just can’t believe I shaved my legs for this

“A father is a banker provided by nature.”
What Is A Dad?
A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.
A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.
A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail...
Quote:
"The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people,
But because of the silence of good people." Napoleon

Here to help you through your day
- Brittani Kokko -
Standing by,
All the way.
Here to help you through your day.
Holding you up,
When you are weak,
Helping you find what it is you seek.
Catching your tears,
When you cry.
Pulling you through when the tide is high.
Just being there,
Through thick and thin,
All just to say, you are my friend.

A Table Set For Two
- Written and owned by L. Carling -
Candles flicker softly on a table set for two,
There's no one on the earth tonight except for me and you.
A nice romantic dinner and a bottle of chilled wine,
And we are here together in a moment stopped in time.
A love so few have ever known and this is its birth night,
Alone within our little world, you and I and candlelight.
So soon we will set free the feelings that we want to share.
And I am held here spellbound by your laughter in the air.
Thoughts of love like falling leaves,
Swirling in the autumn breeze,
Flow in our minds and in our eyes,
A tender look and longing sighs,
We touch and as the fire starts,
That we have kindled in our hearts,
We kiss and hear the angels sing,
As heavens gift to me you bring,
No more to live my life alone,
And in your soul I found my home,
At peace within your loving arms,
Captivated by your charms,
And happily I'd die for you,
Here at this table set for two.

Winter Moonlight
- Krista J. Mikula -
The snow, so peaceful and serene,
caressed by the soft moonlight,
gave magical feelings to the night.
The soft blue glow,
the lovers' words that then did flow,
their lips closer and closer
until, locked in the throes
of a passionate embrace,
he decided to express his feelings,
to keep her safe.
He whispered softly,
his words like music to her ears,
"I Love You,"
and her response the same,
heard like the gentle breeze,
"And I, love you, forever."
That was the night they promised
to be together through everything,
each to care for the other when old and gray.
A lovers' pact
the most likely to last.

Two Butterflies
,
the butterflies dancing by,
until the journey's end.
Not knowing where their travels lead,
in light and love, my friend.
Flecks of light,
across the azure sky,
gently they descend.
Settle weary wings on your open hand,
in faith and trust, my friend.
Carry our wishes,
beyond the stars,
as we watch our life transcend.
We journey down the starlit path,
in life and love, my friend.

You are friendly, kind and caring
You are friendly, kind and caring
Sensitive, loyal and understanding
Humorous, fun, secure and true
Always there... yes that's you.
Special, accepting, exciting and wise
Truthful and helpful, with honest blue eyes
Confiding, forgiving, cheerful and bright
Yes that's you... not one bit of spite.
You're one of a kind, different from others
Generous, charming, but not one that smothers
Optimistic, thoughtful, happy and game
But not just another... in the long chain.
Appreciative, warm and precious like gold
Our friendship won't tarnish or ever grow old
You'll always be there, I know that is true
I'll always be here... always for you.

A Golden Chain
- Helen Steiner Rice -
Friendship is a Golden Chain,
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It's treasured more each year...
It's clasped together firmly
With a love that's deep and true,
And it's rich with happy memories
and fond recollections, too...
Time can't destroy its beauty
For, as long as memory lives,
Years can't erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives...
For friendship is a priceless gift
That can't be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold...
And the Golden Chain of Friendship
Is a strong and blessed tie
Binding kindred hearts together
As the years go passing by.
Friendship is a Golden Chain,
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It's treasured more each year...
It's clasped together firmly
With a love that's deep and true,
And it's rich with happy memories
and fond recollections, too...
Time can't destroy its beauty
For, as long as memory lives,
Years can't erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives...
For friendship is a priceless gift
That can't be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold...
And the Golden Chain of Friendship
Is a strong and blessed tie
Binding kindred hearts together
As the years go passing by.
I could have...
- Courtney Kuchta -
If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

The Miracle Of Friendship
- Jean Kyler McManus -
A Dance with Dragons: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book Five
There is a miracle called Friendship
that dwells within the heart
and you don't know how it happens
or when it even starts.
But the happiness it brings you
always gives a special lift
and you realize that Friendship
is God's most precious gift.
